NSR is a collection of online podcast shows in the format of a live radio broadcast. NSR is setting the benchmark in its industry, offering the first School “Radio” in North Somerset. NSR uses the most up to date technology to produce and present its podcasts across the internet for consumption by students from Nailsea and also surrounding schools.
NSR was founded by a group of Nailsea School students as a Specialist Status project, with the aim to provide a local entertainment source for Naislea School students and other young people in the area, as well as educating
students how a radio station is run and a radio show is produced. This includes all aspects from budgeting the costs to recording a radio podcast and uploading it to the NSR website.
NSR aims to prepare interested students with the skills and experience they need to peruse a career in Radio or other aspects of the media, whilst producing a entertaining and interesting radio podcast for other students to enjoy.
